The adidas Stan Smith first launched in ’65, Originally dubbed the ‘adidas Rober Haillet’ but in ’78 they were renamed after Stan Smith (an American tennis player) This was the first ever leather tennis shoe released, featuring white leather upper and laces. Unlike most adidas shoes it does not feature the three stripes, they have been replaced with lines of ventilation holes on both sides. The design of the Stan Smiths haven’t really changed that much over the years compared to the originals.
