When Were Crocs Invented?

Crocs were invented back in 2002 by three friends: Scott Seamans, Lyndon Hanson and George Boedecker Jr. The friends came across a “boat shoe” made by Foam Creations, which featured a material called Croslite. All of them were fascinated by the material and decided to get the rights to start creating footwear it.

The first ever Crocs product was dubbed “the Beach,” which people instantly fell in love with because of its unique design. It was soon after the brand decided to travel across the pond to the UK. The craze took over this country thanks to Brits adopting the quirky style of these clogs.

Crocs weren’t finished there; they were still hungry to continue and evolve the design. Their next mission was to acquire a company called Jibbitz. This company made small charm accessories that you can attach on top of your clogs to customise them. This makes your clogs unique.

The Different Types of Crocs Shoes
