Where Is ASICS From?

ASICS is a Japanese company, founded by Kihachiro Onitsuka in 1977. His goal was to start a company that would ‘contribute to nurturing the youth and the development of society through sports.’ Three companies merged to form this brand ONITSUKA, GTO, and JELENK. After the merge ASICS got straight to business creating their very first running shoe in ’77. This was the start of something.
