History of This Brand
Calvin Klein was originally a coat shop in the York Hotel in New York City, with their first collection being a line of coats and dresses. The brand quicky became successful winning the Coty American fashion Critics Award in ’73, ‘74, ’75. The brand pioneered men’s underwear creating the boxer briefs all thanks to the head of menswear designer, John Varvatos, which gained the title “One of the best greatest apparel revolutions of the century” Calvin Klein continued to grow and in 2001 the brand was sold to Phillips Van Heusen Corporation who run and grow the company today.
