When Did These Shoes Come Out?

The New Balance 550 was first released in 1989 following all the NBA strict colour regulations. Other competitors featured marketable performance informed tech, this was a huge problem for New Balance, as it caused the 550 shoes to be forgotten by the world… Until 2020, Thanks to Teddy Santis, founder of Aimé Leon Dore.
